THE IMPARTIAL ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE IS THE FOUNDATION OF LIBERTY

We at Put Louisiana First want to commend our hometown Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore, and his colleagues Paul Connick of Jefferson, Keith Stutes of Lafayette, and James Stewart of Caddo for being the latest to support the Unanimous Jury Amendment. We have been encouraging all voters to say yes to the Unanimous Jury Amendment on November 6. We have been honored to support this bipartisan, pro-American, pro-Constitution effort. The Louisiana Republican Party and the Louisiana Democratic Party both endorse this amendment.
Here is what Lafourche Parish Sheriff Republican Craig Webre says:
"The Founding Fathers believed unanimous jury decision was essential to the protection of justice. I agree with them."

Only Louisiana allows a split jury to convict a citizen of murder. Only Louisiana and Oregon allow split juries to convict citizens of crimes. Frankly, we agree with George Washington on this issue. This is not a case where Louisiana is doing it better, but an instance of Louisiana standing alone against the tradition of freedom. The split jury rules in Louisiana are not the original Louisiana law, in fact they were instituted during the un-American Jim Crow era 120 years ago

While the Louisiana Republican Party officially supports this critical pro- American Unanimous Jury Amendment, Louisana Attorney General Jeff Landry has not joined the bipartisan effort. In these last critical days before the election, we respectfully ask General Landry to join the Republican Party and the Republican controlled Louisiana legislature in returning our great state to this liberty supporting American tradition of justice.
Louisiana Republican Senator Dan Claitor speaks for all of us and says
"Is 10 out of 12 good enough for your wife and children? If you are a lover of freedom this is the right thing to do."
